I am on android and bought a fitbit versa lite. Both my app and device are fully updated. I have tried to install spotify, but it says I need to update to the most recent version to update, so the spotify install button is grayed out. Please help

@DrPersonManSir Welcome! It's good that the community is growing!
Let me help you with installing Spotify app on your Versa lite. You will need the Versa lite up to date but the trick is having all day sync on and letting it sync periodically as the updates download in small portions. You can read more about this here. Once you have updated your Versa lite you will be able to download the Spotify app and check this article to know how it works.
Let me know how it goes.

I am unable to download the Spotify app on my Versa lite. It keeps saying that I need to make sure the app and device has the latest version. Which I do. I also uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Deleted the device and added it again. Please help

Same problem here, everything updated, uninstalled and reinstalled following advice on here, please stop posting that link ..the link is useless and doesn’t solve the issue ... the install button is ‘greyed’ out no matter what I try ! So frustrating 😡

Having the same issue. iOS is the newest version. App is updated. All-day Sync is on. I have restarted the device and my phone (iPhone XR) multiple times. I have deleted and re-downloaded the app multiple times. This is so frustrating- most of the Apps I want have a gray install button. Also, no matter what I do the weather app will not update from Celsius to Fahrenheit. I have updated the settings on the app and it still will not correct on the device.

A few hours after posting this I had a message through Fitbit to update my device (again!) after the update I now have Spotify installed, however to access it it seems I need to pay for Spotify Premium, had I known this I wouldn’t have bothered as I already pay for Apple iTunes !

Finally worked after the newest update for me too! However, my weather app STILL isn’t working! I used to use Apple Music as well and have recently switched to Spotify because you can bundle it with Hulu for a really good price and I love it! Just food for thought 🙂

I can't install spotify on my versa lite either for the exact same reason.
Starting to think it isn't compatible with my versa lite even though they said it is. 😩

@JohnWolyz Welcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here! Sorry for the delay in my reply.
Let me help you with your firmware update on your Versa lite so you can install Spotify. A small part of the update is downloaded every time you sync so my suggestion is that you keep using and syncing your Versa lite. Eventually you will be prompted to install the update on the device.
Let me know how it goes.
