I am on android and bought a fitbit versa lite. Both my app and device are fully updated. I have tried to install spotify, but it says I need to update to the most recent version to update, so the spotify install button is grayed out. Please help

Let me help you with the Spotify app on your Versa lite. As previously explained a small part of the update is downloaded when you sync so it is basically just a matter of time for you to get the prompt to apply the update. In the meantime keep syncing your device and using it everyday as usual.

I am not waiting several weeks for some random update to appear magically so i can use spotify when i just paid several hundred for this fitbit as it said on the fitbit websit and on the box that it was compatible - "just download the App". I have followed all of the instructions and have tried several times. This isnt good enough and not how you treat customers that have spent this sort of money. Replying with " it is basically just a matter of time for you to get the prompt to apply the update. In the meantime keep syncing your device and using it everyday as usual" from a fitbit representative over and over again when people are saying they are waiting weeks is rude and not helping anyone!

I'm having the same issue AND I pay for my Spotify account, so this should really be a smoother instant process. I have manually updated all my apps and the watch itself... Now to wait... Seriously?

So after a couple weeks and several updates i got the update that allows you to download the Spotify App. The catch that you arent told until you download the App is that it will only work if you have Spotify Premium. If you arent interested in SPotify Premium it is just as useful to use the built in music control on the Fitbit which is compatible with Spotify without downloading the App (I also found that it let me skip alot more).

So if you go to the portal where it talks about how to update the Spotify. There is a claus on in little writing that Spotify is not available on the Versa Lite! I am upset because they talk about it being for all Versa Families but then exclude Versa Lite! How awful!

As i also facing the same issue with all of you. Then I just realize for connecting fitbit versa lite to spotify, all of us need spotify premium member. I got this information from the App Description below the Star Rating.
...... Spotify on fitbit versa family, etc requires a spotify premium account. 😁

I reformatted the watch, connected to charger and updated again. Made sure I didn’t remove the charger and then Spotify could download. Bit of a hassle but worked for me! 🙂
