Can't read text messages on my versa

My versa will tell me I have a text but I can't read it on the versa. Any help?

I just tried this on my galaxy s9 and it worked. I've been having my versa since March and haven't been able to read text messages on my watch. Thanks so much.

I can't find the on lock screen setting in my phones app settings for textra, what am I missing?
