Can't receive notifications on Versa

Hi, 

 

I purchased my Versa about a month ago and for the first week my notifications worked flawlessly.  After the first update if the app it stopped and despite numerous updates since it is still not working.  

 

I have followed all of the trouble shooting steps and I receive one notification once I reset everything and then it stops working again.  A friend has had the exact same issue with hers.  

 

Any ideas on how to fix this because I am at a loss and feel like I wasted almost $300.

Having the same issue.  I updated my versa yesterday and notifications haven’t worked since.  When I go to notifications in the app it says my versa and phone need to be connected.  I then connect them ( since update they will not stay connected) and it still doesn’t work and I then get message that says there is a problem with the Bluetooth pairing.  So frustrating.  Seems like the versa works great for about 4 months then it is problem after problem.  I am going with an Apple Watch next.

I’m having the same issue. I’ve only had my Versa about 2 months and I cannot receive any notifications. I’ve followed all the steps they tell you to do and still no luck. Very unhappy with the money I spent on this. I wish I would’ve stuck with the basic Fitbit.

Howdy !
To be  candid, The Versa gave me lots of issues after few weeks of purchase. Mine could not last even some 3wks before it all went whackooo 😞

I was not able to pair or synchronize my data and had to lose everything and that was not cool.

I really hope this persons get their products checked out and I will like them to test run devices before throwing them @ our faces.

My Versa worked well for the past few months. However, for the last couple of weeks it has stopped receiving phone and text notifications. I have gone through all the troubleshooting steps but I still don’t get phone call and text notifications. This occurred last summer also but seemed to have been fixed until recently. I did install the latest update to the Android App a couple of weeks ago. Call and text notifications are a big reason that I went with Fitbit Versa. It is very frustrating when they don’t work consistently.

Finally got mine going.   I am not sure what worked but here is what I did.   

Factory reset on Fitbit twice.

Removed versa from account and then added back. 

Manually connect via Bluetooth under settings on my iPhone. 

Turned phones Bluetooth on and off a few times. 

Disconnected all Bluetooth devices from iPhone.

Powered off iPhone and back on then reconnected Versa then Turned on notifications.

Some apps can not be added to notifications until your phone receives a notification from them such as FB and Snapchat.

 

I would start with the last part if I had to do it all over.   Disconnect all Bluetooth devices from phone, turn off Bluetooth and back on then reconnect.   

Good luck everyone!  Fingers crossed no more issues for a while.

This worked for me temporarily however it still stops after an hour or so and I have to reset my phone and Versa constantly to get it to work again.

 

Are they faulty or is this just a terrible product?

While I am very happy with my Versa when it works, I would like to see notifications be stable and work consistently without intervention on my part. I would like to see it just work.

Mine has continued to work but I am not sure.  Seems like there are so many off and on issues and they were very quick to send a replacement for my first issue that I assume they have not got all the bugs worked out.  I sure wish the Apple Watch had a better battery life.  I would pay the difference in price if it did.

Again this morning, I had to spend 30 minutes going through the troubleshooting steps to get my Versa synced. It worked well for a couple of months, so I know that it can work. If Versa worked consistently and reliably....including notifications...it would be an outstanding product.

I 100% agree that it would be an awesome product. However at this stage I am restarting my watch and phone up to twenty times and in total my notifications work for less than 15 minutes a day in total. I am about ready to return it.
