Can't receive third party notifications on my Versa 2

I have an iPhone XR and Fitbit versa 2. I can receive call notifications on my Fitbit but no notifications from text message, WhatsApp, Facebook etc.
I have checked both settings on iPhone and Fitbit app but it doesn’t even give the option to inclusive these. Is it possible?

Hi there @Lljane, welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for sharing the details about the issue with your Versa 2.

Since you're setting up notifications, you'll need to receive a message from the app desired in order for your app to show it as option in your Fitbit notification's section. For example, tell someone to send a WhatsApp, then check your Fitbit app and you'll see that WhatsApp is already an option to be selected. To find the step-by-step, see: How do I get notifications from my phone on my Fitbit device?

As you stated, you can choose 1 app per category. The most common apps for these features are:

  • Calls—Dialer
  • Text messages—Messages
  • Calendar events—Calendar
  • Emails—Gmail

Please note that for "Text Messages" section you can only select your primary text messaging app (that can be WhatsApp, your phone's default Message app or any other). However, in "App Notifications" section you can select more apps, for example if you decided that for your primary text messaging app you want it to be WhatsApp, in App Notifications you can enable Messages app.
