Can't reconnect Versa 2 after factory reset

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My battery was draining too quicky and the forums suggested a factory reset.  Now, I can't get reconnected.  So far I've restarted my Versa 2 multiple times, logged out of the app, uninstalled and reinstalled the app.  Restarted the phone.  Removed all fitbits from the Bluetooth on my phone.  Turned the Bluetooth off and on multiple times.  Checked my version of android.  I go through the start up process but after the "Found It" screen it goes to "Not Working?" and offers tips all of which I've performed multiple times.  I've followed all the steps from Marrefitbit on this thread https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Other-Charge-Trackers/Can-t-find-the-4-digit-code/td-p/2122410.

Okay, Finally got the four digit code.  It took 4 tries but got as far as adding to the wifi when it froze on the fitbit logo.  App says "Looking for Versa 2.  It timed out and I"m starting again.  Very frustrating

Hello @Martanelso

I’m hoping I can help. It sounds like your doing a lot of troubleshooting steps to try and get your Versa 2 set back up again after you factory reset your Versa 2.

Here is how you set up your Versa 2 as a new device. Please follow each step carefully:

  1. Remove the Versa 2 from the Bluetooth settings. (Tap forget device if on iOS or unpair if on Android) If your Versa 2 is not showing on your Bluetooth at all proceed to step 2
  2. Turn off other nearby Bluetooth connections.
  3. Check if the Fitbit App is updated
  4. Log out of the Fitbit app and reboot your phone.
  5. Restart your Versa 2: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1186.htm
  6. Log back into your Fitbit app, tap your profile picture then scroll down and tap Set Up a Device.
  7. Select the Versa 2 and follow the onscreen instructions. When asked if you want to replace the Versa 2 say yes.

🤞 I hope this helps. Please let me know

I've tried multiple times, still with no success.  Occasionally I get as far as signing into my wifi but then it always fails.  Most times I can't even get that far.

The Wifi is working properly.  The process seems to hang up at random points in the process.  90% of the time it hangs up right after the "Found It" screen and the "Not Working?" screen appears.  Very occasionally I'll get the chance to put in the 4 digit code but I never get past setting up the wifi

I tried everything.  Fitbit support gave me a 35% off discount.  I'm disappointed that the lifespan of this product only slightly outlasts the warranty.  I'll try once more with a Fitbit product but the next time this happens I'll need to shop around again which saddens me because I love my Fitbit.
