Can't see messages without turning on preview?-Versa

I have been reading several threads about the Versa not displaying messages.  I have fixed the problem and can view them now, but in order to do that, now my phone shows a preview of all incoming messages and I don't like that.  Is there a way to allow the Versa to view the messages and not have to turn on the preview on my phone? (Galaxy S9)

I dont think so. It something Samsungs do. If you turn off preview it decides you dont want to view the messages outside the message app. You'd really need to ask Samsung I think.
