Can't seem to update versa

I have been trying to update my versa. For 30 minutes already. And still can't get it to update. I have turned off my Bluetooth a couple of times. Tried it Tru wifi. Still nothing. Actually the Fitbit app can't even find my tracker. Which is lying on top of my phone. Like duh.

@Saaaypants21 @Laua It will not update if it cannot maintain a stable connection. Let's restore it first:

  1. Unpair (remove) Versa from your phone's bluetooth settings
  2. Uninstall the Fitbit mobile app
  3. Reboot your phone and install Fitbit mobile app. Do not pair in the phone's bluetooth settings. The trick is to let Fitbit mobile do that
  4. Reboot your Versa by pressing and holding the left and bottom right buttons until Fitbit logo flashes
  5. Login to Fitbit mobile app
  6. Grant all permissions and sync

Now, let's try to install the update. You can either do it over wifi or bluetooth (slow!). If you choose wifi, make sure you have added wifi network in your Fitbit mobile app and synced your tracker after. Your wifi needs to be strong and both devices involved have to be near the router. Place your Versa in the charging dock, open Fitbit mobile app and download/install the update.

A few notes: I delete the wifi network after firmware upgrades as I found it disrupts my BT connection with my phone.

@Laua I'm glad! 😄 Please see here for a change log. The biggest changes are a brand new Today screen (swipe up on the main screen of your Versa to access) on which you can see up to 7 categories now, such as sleep stages, water, calories, etc. You can even add water from it. Also, there are some changes in the notification display. Now, each notification lights up the screen. Happy New Year!
