Can't set up a Versa 2 for my daughter

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My family is loyal long time customers of Fitbit with multiple devices over the years. Our daughter with a supervised Google account has become interested in using our old Versa2 watch so I went thru the steps to get her an account setup on her phone but when it comes to pairing the device it only shows the Ace Kids devices. How can I get a Versa2 paired to her account? If I disable supervision temporarily, will it let me add it and then re-enable supervision?

Hi there, @rallivan. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. We're here to help you!

To better assist you, may I know if your daughter is under 13? If she is, that would be the reason why you cannot set up the Versa 2. Your daughter must be 13 or older to use a Versa 2.

Please note that if you are trying to set up the Versa 2 in a child account, it won't allow you to add any other Fitbit devices than the Ace ones. Child accounts only allow Fitbit Ace. People must be 13 or older to set up any other Fitbit devices.

For more information, see How do I manage my child in the Fitbit account?

Yes, she is under 13, but your statements are contradicting.

If this is true: " Your daughter must be 13 or older to use a Versa 2."

Then this could not be true: "Child accounts only allow Fitbit Ace. "

What age does Fitbit/Google consider still a child account?

@rallivan Thanks for getting back to me.

Regarding your inquiry, it depends on the country you're located in. If you're from the USA, if the person is 13 or older they can create a standard account, 12 years old or younger than that, it must be a child account.
