Can't set up account with Versa

I have a Samsung Galaxy J7 Sky Pro. I downloaded fitbit app after I was given a fitbit versa as a Mother's Day gift. I have tried two email addresses and confirmed both and I have even tried changing the password for the account, but it keeps tell me that my email is already taken by another Fitbit account. I have restarted my phone... I have uninstalled and reinstalled app.

I'm at a loss.

@LOverholt Welcome! Thanks for being part of our Community! It sounds as if you are using the Join Fitbit option every time you try to setup your Versa. Since you have already done this it means that an account has already been created. In this case just use the Log In option on the app, enter your email and password and once you have logged into your account tap the account button (top right corner, it looks like an id card) and tap the Setup a device option that will guide you through the setup process.

Thank you for the help it worked 🙂 now my only trouble is getting the clock face to work properly.

@LOverholt happy to hear that you were able to setup your Versa. What issues are you having with your clockface? Is it a Fitbit clockface or a third party one? Try changing to a different clockface, sync your Versa then change it back and sync again. You can also try restarting your Versa by doing the following:

 

1.- Press and hold the back (left) and bottom buttons until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen. This should take less than 10 seconds.
2.- Let go of the buttons.
3.- If your Fitbit watch doesn't work normally, use the instructions in How do I turn off my Fitbit device? to turn your watch off and on again.

I unsubscribed from my fit bit app which I used for my Charge HR because It wouldn't  work with the new Versa I just bought. Now I can't  find the app. again so I can download it to set up my Versa

Where are you not able to find your Fitbit app (phone or the app store)? Which phone or device are you using? Have you tried with a different phone?
