Can't set up my Versa 3 again with the Fitbit app

I have been having an issue with my app for weeks. I have followed all the instructions given on the forums etc. I deleted the watch off the app and now it won't connect. I get as far as the pair code and it won't progress. My husband is having issues with his syncing too.

Samsung s20 and S22. The S20 worked with my watch for over a year perfectly fine. Worked for my husband perfectly fine for a few months. S22 Worked fine too for about 6 months.

Hi there, @Tasha2849. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Versa 3 before reaching out.

In addition to the steps you've done so far, please try the following in the order listed (even if some of them you've tried already):

  • Unpair your Versa 3 from your phone's Bluetooth and also make sure it's no longer connect to your Fitbit app.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off the Bluetooth.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth.
  • Set up your Versa 3 again.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Versa 3.

If you can't get started with your Versa 3, usually a missing requirement is the cause. Carefully review the requirements provided in the help article Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?

Regarding your husband's syncing issues, please see Why won't my Fitbit device sync?

Hope that helps.

I do all these things. I got it to work eventually. But it only lasts a few days. Husbands issue is the exact same as mine. It lasts a week at best before the issue starts again.

@Tasha2849 I'm glad to hear you managed to solve the issue.

May I know the model of your mobile phones? Please make sure it meets the requirements listed here. Also, please confirm you both have followed all tips and recommendations provided here

Another thing I'd like to know is if you are using the same phone to sync your Fitbit devices?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

It's back to not working again. Will stop using the watch for now and see if it resolves itself in a few months. Or if the app gets fixed.
