Can't set up notifications on my Versa 3

I just got the Versa 3. I can't receive any notifications (text, email, etc.) or reminders (steps every hour). I have restarted my phone (Android), Versa 3, uninstalled the app, etc. Nothing has worked. Everything on my Versa says it can't find my phone or to turn on permissions (all are turned on). Any idea what's going on?

Hello there, @Ruggeriha. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Versa 3 before reaching out. I understand where your concern is coming from.

While reading your posts above, I was wondering if you had any other Fitbit device prior to getting the Versa 3?

If that describes your issue, it seems that your Versa 3 cannot connect properly to your Fitbit app since you haven't yet forgotten the connection between your old Fitbit device and the phone's Bluetooth. With that said, try the steps below:

  • Unpair your new and old Fitbit device and Versa 3 from your phone's Bluetooth and Fitbit app.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use. This can help to prevent connectivity issues or Bluetooth interference.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth on your phone.
  • Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.
  • Set up your new Versa 3 again.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Versa 3.
  • Set up notifications again.
