I am so frustrated right now, and looking for help. I got my Versa today and was able to get it set up correctly. I am now trying to transfer music to my device. Using the app on my phone, I am able to connect the watch to WiFi. I am unable to connect it to WiFi using the desktop app on my computer. It just keeps saying, "Unable to find watch."
Once I have it connected through my phone app, I've attempted to transfer music. I've followed the instructions, and I've looked at and followed every trouble shooting guide on FitBit's help center. It just keeps saying, "Looking for watch."
Does anybody know how to fix this? I don't know if the problem is that I can't connect to WiFi through the desktop FitBit app or not. (Either way, I have also followed all of the troubleshooting for this topic, and it still won't work.) Like I said, I can connect the watch to WiFi through my phone app successfully, but it still won't find my watch to transfer music.
If someone can help me solve this, I would be so appreciative!

@aamberrr It's great to see that you've visited the Fitbit Community! You can only transfer music via a computer. It isn't possible to do this through your phone. You will need either a Windows 10 or Mac computer running the Fitbit software with an integrated bluetooth 4.0 chip. Which Os are you running on your computer? Is it up to date? Does it has bluetooth? You could try using a friends computer or even your work computer to transfer your music and use your phone to sync it. You can try restarting your Versa to see if this helps it sync with your computer by doing the following:
1.- Press and hold the back (left) and bottom buttons until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen. This should take less than 10 seconds.
2.- Let go of the buttons.
3.- If your Fitbit watch doesn't work normally, use the instructions in How do I turn off my Fitbit device? to turn your watch off and on again.
I look forward to your reply!

Hi @AlvaroFitbit.
I am attempting to transfer music through the fitbit desktop app on my computer. My computer is running Windows 10. I'm not sure if bluetooth is 4.0 or where to find that information, but I am guessing it is because I was able to pair my watch to my computer's bluetooth. The computer OS is up to date.
I have tried resetting the watch, factory resetting the watch and going through the full initial set up again, uninstalling and reinstalling the fitbit desktop app... every single thing I've seen in the trouble shooting guides, and nothing seems to be working. My work computer is running windows 7 professional, so I can't use that to try.
I'm not having any issues with my fitbit syncing to my phone, or even to the desktop app, but when I go into the transfer music option, it just keeps saying that it's searching for a wifi network, and then it eventually says, "Cannot find or locate your watch."
I've seen several suggestions to manually add a wifi network, but there isn't even an option to manually add a network on my fitbit desktop app.
I'm getting very frustrated as the main reason I chose the versa was for wireless music. Both my husband and I are decently tech-savvy (we aren't geniuses or anything, but we can usually mess around with things until they work), but even following every fitbit article we could find, neither of us could figure this out, and we spent several hours working on it.
Honestly, if I can't get it to work, I'm going to end up returning it and buying an Apple Watch. 😞

I have had my Versa for a month and have given up on transfering music. I also have tried all the advice online with not postive results. I have been close to returning the watch as syncing can be hit and miss. If i try to build a playlist in the Fitbit app it is is saying can't find folder or unsuitable Itunes is set to share music. For a £200 item the electronics are rubbish, which is a pity because it is a nice sized watch.

I am pretty tired too! Just got this new Versa setup was straight forward for both Samsung S7 and W10.
On the W10 Fitbit app, I have changed the clock faces and installed apps and sync without an issue. But transferring music files over just plain frustrating !
I ping the watch via the command line to the watch IP and I get a reply!
On the watch it shows "Use your computer to start transferring music.."
But when comes to transferring to music on W10 all I get is the spinning dots and looking for your watch! The Having trouble connecting is highlighted too.
I have restarted and also tried shutting down as specified in one of the earlier post!
What is wrong???
Fitbit version 32.32.10.15
Win 10 2018-06 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1703 for x64-based Systems (KB4284874)
Should I switch for another brand???

i share your frustrations I have had all of them ! As I have said poor electronics for a £200 watch. I did have another go at transfering music as I had failed with following any online instruction. I made a playlist and put it on a flash drive. On checking I saw a number of tracks brought from Itunes were MP4 not MP3 so I converted then all to MP3 using AVS Audio converter, then dragged them to the fitbit app on the PC, for once it actually was working and it did load onto the watch, quite quickly. Seems to be working as I can listen with bluetooth headphones. ~I first did do a restart 3 times, on the watch holding in the left and bottom button, as the watch had stopped syncing which has helped as the watch is now syncing Ok again. No idea why this worked I'm no PC guru at 73 but bloody minded enough to keep trying as I don't like to be defeated by a stupid watch ! Maybe worth a try. I have come very close to returning the Versa because it is such a pain to do simple things, I like the watch because of the size and it has the functions I wanted but would only recommend with a warning.

does this assume that the computer has Bluetooth connection to versa? I don't see what plugging the watch into the cradle does--it is just a charging cradle...?

i just tried your method with my Versa and it worked --thank you! it was a little more involved in terms of getting into my Itunes files, but I was able to load a song from the windows explorer one song at a time once the Fitbit app connected. I did have to start the transfer process from my watch and computer app t2-3 time before it connected. (Maybe there's a way to do more than one song at a time--if I copied the songs m4a files into one folder first...) Then when all my 15 songs were loaded it took about 10-12 mins to transfer them and voila-I was able to play them through my earbuds (one needs to 'add the device' (earbuds) into the watch first, through "settings")
You accomplished what the fitbit customer service person told me could NOT be done--transferring music using a computer that doesn't have bluetooth! That person even went away from the phone and checked with their other people before telling me that! I told her that I would be buying an Apple watch next time because of that problem.
