If you see the message "unlock with your phone " on the Versa 2, please do NOT remove the watch from your account and try the steps described here: How do I unlock my Fitbit device with my phone?

What if If you see the message "unlock with your phone " on the Versa 2, BUT, you did remove the watch from your account.
