Can't update Versa Lite firmware version

For the past week I noticed that my Fitbit Versa Lite has had the incorrect time. Syncing became more difficult. I tried holding the button to restart the Fitbit, I restarted the app, I turned Bluetooth on and off, I turned off the Fitbit using the shutdown from the watch menu. I’ve literally tried everything that has been posted on here.

Finally, I reset the Fitbit to factory settings, a few times the Fitbit was able to be recognized by my phone and I put in the number on the display and then it would tell me that I needed to update my firmware. When I tried that I got stuck in a loop for hours or it would say that the update can’t be loaded.

 

currently I have a red x on the screen with “data not cleared. Sync and try again”. I’ve tried everything and this is driving me nuts.

I'm Deaf and have grown to rely on the vibrations from the Fitbit for alarms, notifications, alerts, etc.

I first noticed the time being off last Tuesday. I noticed because I was supposed to get my flu shot at 1PM and then go to a seminar at 2:00. But I looked at my watch, saw that it was only 12:30 and decided to stay in the lab to teach new students how to do procedures. When I got back to my office I was shocked that the time was 1:45. I quickly gathered my things for the seminar and made it on time.

I have an iPhone 7, the first time I started having issues was a week ago.

I ordered a Versa 2 because I need the alarm. However, I’ll miss the bright blue Versa lite. 

today it has made contact to my phone but displays a 4 digit code for mere seconds before restarting.
