Hi,

It's great to welcome you @Dana94.

I would like to know if you keep having issues updating your Versa? If you do, I recommend taking a look at the Why can't I update my Fitbit device? article and follow the instructions provided there.

I hope this helps, let me know the outcome. Smiley Happy

My fitbit is doing the same thing. I even tried to factory reset it and start all over, and now it won't connect to my phone at all. My husband got his to work just fone.

Thanks for troubleshooting this by yourself. I would like to know if you have take a look at my previous post and followed the instructions provided there? If you haven't, I recommend checking it and follow the steps provided in the link there. Also, if you haven't tried to do this procedure from another device, keep in mind that you can try this and then from your phone just log in to your account.

I have followed all troubleshooting steps and what you said in the previous post. I also tried doing it on two pixels, a galaxy, and an iphone and it wouldn't update on any of them. So I know it's not the phone.

Goodluck! I spent 2 hours with someone trouble shooting and literally nothing worked. I paid for overnight shipping to have it for my race, and they send me a broken one. All they could offer was a shipping label for me to send it back, and they’ll send me a new one “as soon as possible.”

Is everyone's phone on the "List Of Supported Devices"?

Goodluck. I have to send mine back, then wait 3-5 days for processing, then wait for them to ship it back to me. Seems like lots of people are not liking the Versa. Might be time to switch to a different company.

I also tried it on 3 different phones, an iPad, and a computer. No luck. It wouldn’t be so bad but it’s literary useless unless you get the update.

Yes. Samsung Galaxy S7. I was on the phone with three people at CS for over an hour on 5/28 before they admitted it doesn't work.

Fitbit should just be honest and tell Android users that troubleshooting won't work until Fitbit fixes the problem. Fitbit should prove it works with live video demos and an apology from CTO and CEO. That might help restore confidence in what should be an amazing product (so much lighter than Apple!) and important female health tracking.

Customer service told me 5/28 that they're "working on it". In other words, it's a waste of time to troubleshoot something that doesn't work, but Fitbit made users do it anyway.

Thanks for the information @_OutOfTheBag@DCMom2@Dogmomof8 great to see you around and @DramaQueenDiva thanks for stopping by.

At the moment of updating your Versa, we recommend connecting your watch to Wi-Fi to update your firmware. If you are using Bluetooth, or Bluetooth Low Energy (Bluetooth LE), to update your Fitbit firmware, you might experience some issues since it can take hours to complete the process. Bluetooth LE, which is Bluetooth 4.0, consumes very little power and can't be used for exchanging large amounts of data.

Have you checked if your phones are compatible? If you haven't, I recommend taking a look at our list of compatible mobile devices.

Catch you later. Smiley Happy

Was there a recent update of some sort? I have had no issues syncing my versa until 6/4. After 6/4, nothing-it won’t sync, it won’t connect to the WiFi, in fact it can’t even find any WiFi! Yes my device is a compatible device, I checked.

Yep same here I bought one in April only for a little over a week ago after numerous tries to download the new stuff it started taking a total crap the screen went crazy and can't be read. So I went out and bought a new one after trying EVERYTHING LISTED here and now that one "connects" to my phone but I can't see anything on the actual device and I called support and yeah nothing. I'm glad I wasted over $200 for something to not work never should have upgraded cause now I gave my old HR to my daughter and it isn't fair to take it away. Thanks for nothing fitbit

Did you see if defeating the app & reinstalling made any difference? I was reading the install & it was saying that the device is supposed to be set up via WiFi the first time. I know for me, I’m pretty sure I just did it over Bluetooth.

Deleting the app? Should I deactivate the account as well and start completely over?

I have read all your replies on how to get my new Versa Fitbit to work.  My phone is a galaxy s8, I removed old Fitbit, am hooked to wifi and it just sits trying to update.  This has been going on for 3 hours.  I also did restart on Fitbit.

I just bough the Versa, got it in today! I’ve made sure all apps and phone (IPhone 7) is all updated! Fitbit still will not download, I’ve done all the above steps; deleted app, turned phone and Fitbit off and back on, forgotten device on Bluetooth and reset, nothing works! Guess I’ll be returning it! So sad because I was excited about having it for my vacation!
