Hi,
I bought a new Fitbit Versa yesterday but I can't update it ... I tried every step they tell me to do on the site of Fitbit but it won't help. I can't change my Clock faces or anything ... without the update the Fitbit app is useless, can somebody help me?

Same problem!! Brand new, got it home, won't update. So I returned it thinking it was defective. Came home with a new one....wont update. So I call Fitbit, they said send it to us and we'll replace it with another one. So now I am on my 3rd Fitbit Versa and this one doesn't update either!! The tech team has no idea what is going on and keeps telling me to do the same things over and over again. I have tried on my iPhone, iPad, and MacBook Pro. I have deleted my apps, reinstalled them, did a factory reset, made sure all my devices were updated, nothing has worked. Can someone help?

Mine only updates every Sunday and only if it’s on the charger and my phone is on the charger, I’ve tried the same thing on other days and it doesn’t work. I think they have a bug in their app that is causing it to not sync correctly with the watch. It’s only since Mayish too, makes me think something in the last update screwed everything up.

I had the same issues. The only thing that worked was when I removed previous devices from the app on my iPhone and installed the update over my WiFi. You'll know it's working when the app asks for your WiFi username and password. Updating from my PC did not work. Updating using Bluetooth over the phone did not work. Good luck - hope this works for you.

Hi!
I accidently forgot to charge my versa so much so that it died. Ever since then, with a complete recharge, I have not had any syncing issues-it reset the connection.

I hope I can help you! I had a similar problem with mine I bought today. Took me three hours, I restarted everything, uninstalled the app, reinstalled it etc etc…
It turns out all I needed to do was ensure the wireless connection to the fitbit was super strong - I put both my phone and the fitbit right next to my router - it still took a while and I had to re-start the update process 3 times but it worked! Once I got the fitbit near the router it only took about 15mins in total.

I’ve done all of the above. Even removed device and tried to add device. Now it’s suck downloading at 48%. Via WiFi. Not happy about this

This is problem Fitbit won't own. The sync is beyond horrible, it happens all the time, right now I can't install the new update. Why does everyone have continuously come to these forums over he same issues? I'll have wait till this weekend to spend the hours needed and never know if it will work. I'll never buy a fitbit again, it's insulting that they have this problem and never fix it

Brand new fitbit versa and fails update everytime over wifi and bluetooth, cant do anything . Just scrapped a ionic that went bad 6 months sfter bought, got a new one free but that one crapped out 2 weeks after delivery.

I have tried to update my versa for the past 48 hours!!!
It failed both updates, WiFi and Bluetooth multiple times! The latest Bluetooth update took more than 16 hours to update and then failed. After restarting my device, I have tried to do it with the WiFi update, it was going smoothly for 2 hours and then failed!!!
My question is WTF???
Versa, despite being nice and cheap can be compared to a chinese piece of **ahem** that no person wants! I used to be a big fan of their products, but now it is time to move one with someone else and enjoy user-friendly products.

Hi,
I cant update my Versa to this latest firmware version.
I tried by bluetooth and wifi. The update starts but after some time it failed. I tried everything in the article that you recommended but nothing worked. Could you help me fix that?

Bought versa yesterday followed all steps won’t update followed all extra recommendations and resets and different phones still doesn’t work. I’m fuming especially after reading all the comments as it’s seem Fitbit knows there are issues.

Same issue after replacement. First one started flickering, this one won’t update firmware. Fitbit, this is a joke.

I’m having the same issue. The watch face just keeps saying needs internet for this app with a big ‘X’. Been trying to change this for a month and done every step and I’m still not getting anywhere!!
