I just received an email that Fibit is now part of Google.  Ugh.  Can we opt out in some way of our data becoming part of Google?

It did say medical information would not be used for ads.

However Google knows all about you anyway, from phone use, searching etc.

Which brings in the concept of crowd participation.

By having a large volume of data, its possible to detect and make best health suggestions and useful trends. The more people participate the more accurate and useful the information becomes.

So it comes down to a question of participation in a community spirit in the end.

Well, bye bye Google.  Hello Amazfit.

I would have liked to have stayed with a domestic company but they are so quick to sell us out.
