I missed my return date by 3 days....feels like all I do is reset, restart, and fight with my Versa.
Yesterday was out with running group and realized I can't SEE the screen at all in sunlight. I could see my Charge 2, no problem. I took my sunglasses off, wiped screen, nothing. Is it just me??
Would a screen protector help?
I need to see the TIME and also when it drops Bluetooth, I need to reconnect my music.
Thank you!

I can see my Versa screen well even with my polarized sunglasses. I had trouble seeing my Charge 2 in bright sunlight. I wonder if the clock face has an impact? Maybe some colors are just easier to see. Usually I'm using the exercise app with connected GPS when exercising outside. Those big yellow numbers on a black background are easy to see for me.

Make sure you set the brightness to Auto. I can't find the setting right now but I now it's in there somewhere.

Absolutely. I live in southern Arizona and the sun is out 300+ days a year. I have used my versa outdoors in direct sunlight on numerous occasions and have no problems at all. It is MUCH brighter than my Charge 2. and YES, you need to have the brightness set on AUTO which works well indoors and outdoors.

I keep mine set to max light not auto and can read it well surfing with sun and glare and being wet.
Just another option to setting it to auto.

This is one feature that actually works. I keep the brightness in the display to normal and use the Layers clock face. I can see it even in very bright sunlight. I could never see the screen on my Alta or Charge in similar conditions.

Thank you everyone for your feedback. I checked my bright setting and it was fine. I changed to a different clock face with brighter contrast numbers to see if that will help.

I cannot see mine at all. I have even changed the screens and still have issues. I did not have a problem with my Charge either. I will go back to that when this one stop working.

I had this issue, in the end fitbit sent me a replacement. I believe it is a problem with the light sensor in some versa 2's. If yours is faulty, fitbit should replace it.

I can! Swipe right to "Settings" and set the screen brightness to "Auto" and you'll be all set!

I have been going nuts, not being able to see my Versa screen in the sunlight. I finally got the bright idea to search for the answer. (When did they come up with this Google search stuff anyways?) it just might catch on 😎
It took me 30 seconds to come upon your post and another 30 seconds to fix the problem. Thank you very much..
God bless y'all

@MADF On your watch, slide across to Settings and select. You will see a Brightness option there.

Had same issue, sent it in to Fitbit. They replaced the screen, cleaned it and it’s brighter than ever, even outside. Mine’s only a year old so still under the 2yr warranty I purchased for $16!
