Im thinking I want the special charcoal/aluminum version however I prefer the look of the classic black outline on the versa. I know the bands are interchangeable so I could always wait to buy a woven band that's similar to the special edition.. but does anyone know if there's a way to change the color of the body/outline of the versa?

As @Brobay has mentioned, the body of the Versa will not be changeable to any other color. Take a close look at each color combo on our web store.

You are unable to change it. I to ordered the same one but really wanted the silver body. I am sure there will be a third party that makes some kind of cover for it.

Actually, you might do some searching online -- I have seen different colored "protective covers" for the Versa. They would obviously add a bit of bulk, but then, of course, they would offer some protection from damage.

I have bought one of those protective covers and they do protect the face well. The only downfall to the one I have is that it makes the face larger so it won’t fit into the charging cradle. So every time I want to charge my Versa I have to take off the bands and cover to charge.

Which cover did you buy? I bought a pack of three on Amazon and they are all flexible and can be removed for charging without taking off the bands. They just pull off from the sides. They do make the watch face a bit bulkier, though.
