A warm welcome to the Community @zoe31.

Regarding your inquiries, yes, I have seen some posts around here where users listen music while swimming. If you want to connect headphones to your Versa, follow the instructions provided in the help article How do I connect Bluetooth audio devices to my Fitbit watch?.

Let me know if you need anything else. Smiley Wink

I am  having trouble getting the Versa to work playing music via Deezer while swimming.  Bluetooth doesn't work in water so I am wondering what the solution is? I have JBL headphones which say they will work via MP3, but I've been unable so far to get Deezer to download the playlist as an MP3 - it will play fine as Bluetooth, until either the Vista or the earphones hit the water then it stops.

I also have this issue. Wireless headphones listening to music works great connected to Versa, but as soon as I start swimming it stops. Can someone from Fitbit please provide solution?

Hi, although the Versa is water resistant untill 50 meters under water, I would absolutely not recommend to listen to music while swimming. Search this community and you will find a lot of topics about Versa's not working anymore after a swim. Listening to music also increases this chance cause there is always a possibility that your head is completely under water with the earpieces connected to it. After each Swim it's mandatory to dry your Versa and the band as thoroughly as possible. So, in short: listening to music whilst swimming wearing your Versa, is asking for troubles. Sorry, can not make this any better.

Guess it's time to seriously consider going the Apple Watch route the next time I am looking to purchase a fitness watch...UNLESS...Fitbit can remedy the many problems I've seen with the Versa...not connecting to Pandora, dropping GPS signal, hard to upload anything, not very clear instructions on how to do anything unless we come to the Fitbit Community for answers (and thank goodness this site is here!!)

I have used my Versa consistently now (average 5 days a week) since November 18 in the pool for water jogging with no operational issues (other than not being able to figure out how to transfer music from Deezer to my headphones) - I don't even dry it properly and it's working just fine.  I did find it works better if I keep my wrist under water all them time whilst in the pool, there were some issues with it automatically pausing if I took my wrist out of the water, but apart from that it's been drama free.  I use the run setting to track my water jogging and it does that with no problem (except it tells me I've done around 3km when I haven't done 3km worth of laps - in a 25m pool I know I haven't done that many laps).

Your response is confusing. You can’t lift your arm/hand out of the water while swimming and listening to music or else the signal will drop instantly? I swim by lifting my arms and hands out of the water with every stroke forward. Don’t most people?? Wtf??

No need to be rude. Of course swimming requires lifting your arms out of
the water. It's the water that causes Bluetooth and other issues. When I'm
swimming or water jogging the fitbit music via deezer cuts out when the
fitbit hits the water or is under water. Just looking for a fix but it
doesn't seem possible. The fitbit exercise part works in water but not the
music

I just had a Chat with Fitbit and they said the technology is not ready for swimming and listening to music.  I told them that they are false advertising as it certainly looks like you can swim and listen to music.

It's now possible using Deezer and a waterproof mp3 headset...I have the
Sony walkman mp3 and a jbl one. But the technology has only been available
recently...sometime since August 2019. Before that despite fitbit saying it
was possible it actually wasn't. Deezer has now released a program that
allows you to download from deezer onto an mp3, which i have done with both
the headsets above.
