I have had a Versa 3 for 2+ years. After removing my old credit card from the watch and trying to add my new one from the same bank (just updated CVV and expiration date), it will not let me do it. I have tried to add several supported cards and keep receiving the same error message: "Your card could not be added. Please contact your card issuer for more info. You can also try adding a different card."
My bank assured me the card is supported and there are no issues. I also am able to use it with Google Wallet on my phone. As a check, I paired my old Charge 4 with my phone and added my new card without issue...so I know it is an issue with the Versa 3. Any ideas on how to resolve this?

This is definitely not the experience we want for our customers, and I understand your feelings about this situation.
Could you please confirm if there is a firmware update available for your Versa 3? To do so, please read and follow the steps listed in the following help article: How do I update my Fitbit device?
Currently, the Versa 3 is using version 36.128.6.17 as explained here: What's changed in the latest Fitbit device update?
After that, please try to follow the steps shown in the following help article: How do I set up contactless payments?

I have factory reset the device twice and installed updates. It is still not working.
