Cardio Fitness Score on my Versa is too low

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I am a 45 year old lady who trains 6 days a week. Before the lockdown I was at the gym running 12k on tready, and other machines doing long workouts on them too. I did dancing classes and HITT classes etc.

As we are still in the lockdown I am keeping up my fitness by Spinning, dancing and doinh LMOD classes which are BODY ATTACK, BODY COMBAT, GRITT but ever since I have had my versa  its always shown my cardio fitness score at 26 which is fair. I dont understand why so low?

I work my a*** off.

My resting heart rate is between 55 to 56 daily...

Anyone got any advice.

Many thanks

Hi there @Magic28, thanks for stopping by. I totally understand where you're coming from. Thanks for the details provided in your post, I'll be glad to help you about your Cardio Fitness Score which has been registering too low.

I'd recommend the following tips to improve the accuracy of your cardio fitness score if you haven't already tried them:

  • Make sure your personal account information is correct. Fitbit determines your Cardio Fitness Score based on resting heart rate, age, gender, weight, and other physical information, so you'll want to check our account and make sure those details are accurate.
  • Wear your Versa to sleep. This allows your tracker to calculate a more accurate estimate of your resting heart rate.
  • Go for long runs (at least 10 minutes) on flat terrain.
  • Complete multiple runs to help improve accuracy.
  • If you are able to, run at a faster pace. You don't have to run at a full sprint, but higher intensity runs provide a more accurate estimate.

Additionally, I'd recommend taking a look at these two help articles for better explanation: How do I get more precise estimate of my score? and How do I improve my cardio fitness score?

Hope that helps, I'll be around if you have any questions present.

Same here! I am 46 y/o woman, my cardio health was always high/excellent range since they started the system, and now suddenly it is poor (24)?? My RHR is 53-56, and I have a healthy BMI as well as work out 5-7 days a week (in yesterday's spin I spent 39 mins in Peak and 16 in Cardio.) Not at all sure why I would drop from the top to the bottom. Super confused and makes me want to stop using fitbit.

Maria, the same thing happened to me. Years of "Excellent" to suddenly poor. I do not run outside, only on treadmills and spinning class. With a RHR in the low to mid 50s and intense workouts I do not understand how I could possibly be in "poor" territory. If I go to a cardiologist and get a good health report I am going to report this inaccurate health data to the FDA.

I’m glad to hear I’m not the only one!!  I have been “excellent” for months with a score of 45-48 regularly then I updated my Versa 2 and it seems since then I keep dropping lower and lower. I’m now “average” but haven’t changed anything about my daily 70-90 minute workouts. The only change was the update. Not sure what to do!

Just found this thread because I thought my new(ish) Versa was defective! I had about a year of an above average score, I'm 22, a healthy BMI and rhr around the mid/high 50s. Suddenly, about a month or two ago, my score dropped to 32, with no change in my workout routine!
