Basically, I can read Eng wordings from my whatsapp messages. However, I can't read all Chinese words there at all. Sometimes it would show error symbol instead.  How can I read the Chinese words in success? Thanks.

Hello @swlfanny, thanks for joining the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board. Smiley Happy

I appreciate you have brought this to my attention. Tell me, are you receiving Whatsapp Notifications in Simplified Chinese or Traditional Chinese? Are you experiencing this issue with other app Notifications or text Notifications? At this moment I would like to ask you to reply to me with a picture of your Versa showing the Whastapp Notifications, this will be very helpful for me to check this further.

Thanks for your patience, I'll be waiting for your reply.

Nice to see you and I got my Versa yesterday.

I am using Android phone and alredy set Versa with Chinese content. However, when receiving notifications of Whastapp, it cannot show Chinese correctly. It shows some symbols and some English letters.

Please see if you can help. Thanks!

@BubblegumM I believe Fitbit supports simplified Chinese. You can change the language in the Fitbit Advanced Settings. Just go to https://www.fitbit.com/settings/profile. Remember to sync afterwards.

@BubblegumM hmmm after changing the language in the settings, did you try rebooting Versa (press and hold the left bottom right button until fitbit logo appears)? Also, which city are you trying to add in the weather app?

@Marrrmaduke I try rebooting Versa but still cannot show Chinese for Whatsapp notification.

Besides, I would like to add "Hong Kong" to my locations for weather. But I try to entry Hong Kong, Tokyo, Taipei, etc... the content shows nothing.

Thank you.

@BubblegumM Do other locations work? E.g. London? At this point, I would install fitbit app, reboot the phone and versa, place versa on the charger, and install fitbit app again. That should trigger update of all preinstalled apps, Weather included. I would let it sync several times. Perhaps you could leave it charging for a few hours. Of course, you will have to set the notifications in the fitbit app again after reinstalling the fitbit app.

Fitbit does not support Chinese characters in any notifications. (This is what Fitbit confirmed.)

Hi, are there any updates now? Can you read Chinese characters with your Versa now?

I am going to buy the Versa 2, so I was wondering if it can show Chinese characters correctly.

Thank you!
