Clock face switches to black screen with time and then back to my clock face

I have a clock face on my watch.  I notice today that it swiches back and forth between my clock face and a black screen with time on it.  Then it will go back when I press screen.  It continues to

stay on.  Will not turn off.  I have changed clock faces.  I have also restarted.

That means you have "always-on display" turned on.  For the Versa 2,  I think it is in Quick Settings, so easily set my mistake.  What it does is keeps the display on but goes to a minimal display black and white display that uses less battery until you intentionally turn it on.  Try going to Quick Setting and look for a clock that is lit and tap that.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
