When will fitbit be usable on the Huawei P30? I'd have thought it would be on any phone, especially new ones

Hello @Ellietynan, it's good to see you around in the forums.

Thank you for the information about what you've been experiencing with your Versa not being compatible with the Huawei P30. The full list of compatible devices with confirmed compatibility can be found here

Unfortunately we haven't received any updates to be able to know when more devices will be included in the list of compatibility. I hope too that other phone models can be included in the near future.

If a device isn’t listed it doesn’t mean it won’t work with a Fitbit tracker or smartwatch. We routinely test new devices to ensure full compatibility with Fitbit devices and the Fitbit App, and are constantly working to confirm compatibility with new phone models. A majority of Android phones running version 4.4 or higher will work with our products, however we cannot guarantee optimal performance on devices for which we have not tested and confirmed compatibility.

However, some users have been able to sync after following the steps listed in this article: Why won't my Fitbit device sync?

Let me know if you have further questions.

Hi,

I just thought with how fast phones are made that fitbit being the diverse smartwatch it is would be up to date with this, I had the Google pixal phone prior to buying the P30, I didn't buy the fitbit just to use as a tracker, I bought it for the fact I can receive texts and other notifications, the fact fitbit is the only smartwatch that is compatible for most phones, you'd think you'd keep everything up to date so these issues don't happen?

Hello @Ellietynan, thank you for your response and your feedback regarding the compatibility.

The team of developers is aware of the numerous requests to include more devices in the compatibility list and they're constantly working to include other models, however, we haven't received any other updates about this at the moment.

I also hope that they can include other devices as soon as possible.

Let me know if you have further questions.

Hi there, I've noticed some individuals stating compatibility issues with the Huawei P30. It is now listed currently under the phones that it is compatible. Does this mean that the issues is sorted out? I want to upgrade and want to make sure before I do that my device will work 100%. Thank you

I'm have a Charge 3 and a Huawei P30 and I haven't received notifications for a while. I used to, but then they stopped and I'm no longer able to. I'm currently shopping for a different smartwatch (as I can't afford to change my phone).

Hi, thank you for sharing your feedback about the compatibility @Deanna29

I hope other phone models can be added to the list of compatible devices soon, but unfortunately we haven't received any other updates about this, so it wouldn't be possible to provide any time frame for this to happen.

However, other users have been able to resolve following the steps listed in this article

Thank you again for your feedback, let me know if you have other questions.

I had that problem to with my charge 3 and p30. I found when I stop receiving msgs I go into settings, apps, find Fitbit and click on force stop. They start working again.

I have just purchased a versa 2 and have notification problems! Didn't realise this was a problem as the huawei p30 was stated compatible. It seems it is a problem and I feel fitbit are not keeping their customers up to date this things. By the look of things this has been a problem for a long time so I think I'm going to take my fitbit back. I just hope I can do that as its more to do with compatability rather than the fitbit not working. Been intouch with fitbit over the last week quite a few times and I still don't seem to be getting anywhere with them. Shame really as I have been with fitbit for some years but feel that this time customer services has been very poor. Hope you get sorted soon.
