Hey!
Ive just bought the FitBit Versa 2 and Im currently setting everything up. So I wanted to connect my FitBit with Spotify (I have Spotify Premium) and my bluetooth headphones so I can listen to the music. I'm really confused on how to connect everything. When I open the Spotify app on my FitBit it gives me a message saying that I need to make sure my phone's bluetooth is on and I need to sync my FitBit trough the mobile app. The blootooth on my phone is enabled and when I resync my FitBit with my phone nothing happens.
Please can someone explain me how to connect my FitBit Versa 2 with Spotify and my bluetooth JBL headphones... It's really confusing me..

@JannekeV Spotify app for Versa is only a Spotify control app which means you will be able to control the music played on Spotify on your phone. There is no way on downloading Spotify playlists on your Versa and leaving your phone behind. You can always connect the headphones to your Versa and download your music (mp3). Please see the following help article - Loading personal music on the Versa
For connecting the earbuds, please see my post here.

We finally got it working. 1st we had to make sure the spotify premium account was linked in the fitbit app. Then we made sure we had control of spotify on the versa 2 and we could only the audio was only coming from the phone. *This next step didn't work but might be necessary* On the versa 2 we went to setting, bluetooth, manage connected devices, put the headphones in pair mode and were able to connect to them on the versa 2. Music was still playing through the phone and not through the earbuds.
The step that worked was using the phone, going to settings/bluetooth and adding the wireless headphones there. We put the headphones back in pair mode, and paired them with the phone.
Using the Versa 2 I went to the spotify app, picked the phone as the audio device, played a song and it played through the earbuds FINALLY.
I don't know much about the versa 2 and I don't know how my phone was bluetooth connected to the headphones yet I still had control from the versa 2. My guess is the versa 2 doesn't need to maintain a bluetooth connection after initial sync and that's why everyone always things their versa 2 is disconnecting...us included. I hope it helps everyone trying to do this.

I worked it, yep it is confusing. 1) Through fitbit app going to your settings -> Versa 2 -> Apps -> find spotify and log into it via fitbit website. 2) make sure your earphones are off, on your versa watch go to settings -> bluetooth and click “add audio device” then turn your earphones to pairing mode. Pair it with the watch. 3) Then turn your earphones off again. 4) put your earphones back in pairing mode and connect to your phone. Now you can open the spotify app on your phone, hear it on your earphones, and control it all on your watch.

why even add this functionality then? You might as well add an "is sky blue" app, with daily reminders of the sky's color to prevent fitbit users from having to look up. Is fitbit run by clueless developers who think saving people from reaching into their pocket to access spotify is some kind of burden that demands a fitbit app. If the fitbit can store files transferred via bluetooth it can store enough mp3s to let me go for jog everyday.

Just attempted all of this and still no audio. Bummed and sorta stressed that I cannot get it to work.
Headphones are connected to phone, versa 2 Spotify app also connected. I can control it but still hear nothing.
