Corrupted screen and not holding charge

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

1)The watch face now has a black edge around the perimeter. The information on the different screens is not able to be seen on the edge of the watch. I have tried turning the watch off to reset it, but this doesn't alter the watch face.

2)The watch is not holding charge any longer than 7 hours, I have to take the watch off to recharge overnight, so unable to record sleep stats.

I have only recently done an update & I had no problems prior to that.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @chcurlz.

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and sharing the issue you're experiencing with your Versa's screen and battery after the recent update. Thank you for your troubleshooting efforts. I recommend doing the following:

  1. Change the clock face, switch to a Fitbit clock face if you're using a third party clock face: How do I change the clock face on my Fitbit device?
  2. Please confirm the steps you've tried to restart your device: How do I restart my Fitbit device?
  3. Charge the watch to 100%.

For additional tips to prevent the battery drain, please see this help article: Can I extend my Fitbit device's battery life?

Let me know how it goes!

My first Versa had a weird battery drain problem. I don't remember ever seeing the weird line around the edge though.

One of the things that the techs had me do to try and diagnose the battery problem was to run through the battery and do a couple of syncs, recording information on when the syncs were performed and what percentage of battery life I had at each step. I'm not sure if they still make you run this test, but having the information can't hurt.

I'm pretty sure the process was to turn off all-day sync, avoid running any of the apps and run a sync every hour or two. For my test I also took note of the backlight settings and anything else I could think of that might impact the battery life.

If they are still having people perform these tests, you might as well get a jump on it now.
