I love my Versa...LOVE IT. Everything but that pesky green light of arm pain and misery. Of course, everyone knows that when you turn off the heart rate monitor, the green light still flashes. Seems like it is mostly for sleep calculations. My hand, wrist, arm, shoulder and upper back just cant take it anymore. I covered the sensor with black electrical tape but it is still penetrating and causing discomfort. Any ideas of anything that might stop that light from reaching my skin? I will risk losing all the sleep stats just to keep everything else if I can. Might have to go back to the Alta or move to the Ionic.

Hi, it's very strange to believe that the green light of the HR causes that kind of problems. Never have read that before. What I do have read about your problems, is caused by the bands of the Versa. I'm convinced that your physical problems, as you describe them, are not caused by the green light of the HR sensor, there must be something other wrong. The Ionic has the same sensor, so that would be not an alternative.

Thanks for the reply. This is a real issue with the sensor. There are thousands of posts about it unfortunately. Most people with the issue simply turn of the heart rate sensor but you can’t on the versa.

It's just regular everyday green light. The same stuff the sun shoots at you all day long but less bright.
Something else is causing your pain.

I have had the same experience with a previous model. I was able to turn the light off on my Charge & specifically bought the Versa 2 bc I read you can turn the heart rate monitor off. Very disappointed that the light stays on.
