Cracked screen on device purchased with Protection Plan

I accidentally drop my fitbit and crack on the corner, just got it on 8/24 and I call and all I get is the run around I did purchase the 2 year warranty and did call they told me that since I got warranty through fitbit they can't do nothing about it. So here i'm with a crack fitbit and they won't help me with it so I want to return it and get my money back, I have known people dropping the iwatch and they repair it with no problem I guess i'm going iwatch.

Hi @SunsetRunner  if you got the device from Fitbit directly, the two year warranty is from Square Trade. Have you contacted them?

Yes I have contact them as well they only told me that the only way I could get a new replacement is when the Fitbit manufacturer warranty expire that’s when they take over. And I just got it August 24.

Square Trade protection plan's terms and conditions:

2. COVERAGES AND TERMS:
This Protection Plan will cover a mechanical or electrical failure of the Covered Product(s) in subsections A, B, C and D below during normal usage for the Term of this Protection Plan. This Protection Plan is inclusive of any manufacturer’s warranty that may exist during the Coverage Term. It does not replace the manufacturer’s warranty, but provides certain additional benefits during the term of the manufacturer’s warranty.

You can find this info here. It seems like you bumped into someone that may be incompentent or unwilling to help from SquareTrade's end, so I'd suggest checking with them again.

This doesn't sound right. WHO is telling you that since you bought the warranty through Fitbit, that they can't help you.

Also, ordering from Fitbit directly, you get "Get 2 Year Accidental Damage & Handling Protection for $34.99" option at checkout. You bought this and can't get help? This is exactly what that plan is for. Who did you contact? I've gotten email from square trade when I purchased a plan.

Hi, did you also get the "Get 2 Year Accidental Damage & Handling Protection for $34.99"? If not, I'm afraid that you can nor get a replacement due to causing the accident by yourself. Damaging your device by your own fault is hardly/never covered by warranty, unless you have a very nice and polite provider/seller. Very sorry for you, regards kuzibri

The accidental damage plan is a supplement to the Fitbit warranty that doesn't cover damage. How can that kick in after the coverage you don't have from Fitbit expires? Perhaps ask Fitbit chat support themselves?
