Custom Clock face switches back to boring black and white after 10 seconds

So, I installed Tom Bandy's Nixie Tube clock face and really like it.  However, I can only see it if I tap the face.  It appears for 10 seconds then goes back to the boring black and white block letters.

Is this a setting somewhere?

Sound like you have the Always-On Display activated.

Currently there are only two options available for that function, a very basic analog or digital one.

Custom clock faces only appear when you activate the screen, and are only visible until the screen times out again (default timeout is 10 seconds). It is not currently possible for devs to support the Always-On feature.
