Customize Stats Not Saving in "Exercise"

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Customize Stats (Top Stat, Middle Stat, Bottom Stat) resets after each exercise. I changed all my run, hike, elliptical, etc customized stats to only have them reset again and again. It looks like it may be an issue with the OS (I see a forum for the Iconic with the same issue). Anyone with the Versa having this problem too?

32.10.15 update fixed this on my Versa but I had to do a factory reset after the up date then it redownloaded the update and now the custom stats bug seems to be fixed for me.

@Tazhoag are you sure that you're still on the 15 version? I'm on that version and the problem is not fixed for me. Apparently, there's a 20 version that's for "new customers" only (for a device that was only released a month ago!) that some people are getting when they factory reset that mostly fixes the problem.

I actually did a factory reset and reinstalled and still got the 15 version. Did you delete the Versa from your account before adding it back, or just install it as a "replacement?"

I'm thinking of doing the former, if you can confirm that's what you did and that you got the 20 version.

I’m not positive but I think they are calling 34.10.15 OS 2.0. I THINK they are one and the same. And it only fixed the stats saving in the weights app for me. All others are still resetting.

There's two versions of the latest firmware - one that ends in 15 and one that ends in 20. The one that ends in 20 supposedly at least has a partial fix, but it's only for "new" users. As if there are "old" users for a month old device.

Mine is still not saving stats for all but one exercise. Weights. The rest don’t save. That’s with Fitbit app 2.51 and tracker firmware 10.15

@Tazhoag Turns out the moderator on the firmware release thread was confused/ less than truthful. The problem may or may not be partially or fully fixed in another release of the firmware ending in 20 that came out at the same time, but was only for "new users" (of a device that was only released a month ago). This version is still being withheld for whatever reason.

I am on the latest firmware and still have this issue. Interesting related story - when I called Fitbit customer service/support to discuss this issue (and a few others), I was told this is not a bug. The guy even put me on hold to check with someone else (I think he said "engineers" or "development"). He said this was intended functionality. I told him that makes no sense whatsoever, and is not an intuitive design choice.

Anyway, based on that conversation, I added the "customize stats" not saving for exercises as Feature Suggestion, since it's apparently not a bug. Here's the suggestion, if you want to vote for it: https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Feature-Suggestions/Changed-quot-customize-stats-quot-should-remain-...

@Armdog They were just gaslighting you because they didn't want to admit to a bug. It should retain the customized stats. In addition, my Blaze did and so did my Ionic - though I know some people have had problems with Ionic.

@meresydotesHa ha, I can believe it. Because that doesn't make sense at all as intended functionality.

Hopefully it's fixed soon

Edit: It seems to be working! I swear it was still broken yesterday, but I can't seem to get it to revert to default again.

@Armdog Are you having trouble syncing? Because it reverts when it syncs. Though I seem to recall someone saying that they had the problem for a while on their Ionic, then it just stopped being a problem randomly with no updates. Mine definitely reverted after my AM workout.

@meresydotesNevermind...yep, still broken. I tried an exercise again, and it reverted. I had my hopes up for a second there.

This may help the Versa owners too.  I turned off automatic sink in the FirBit app and at least for one day the settings on my Ionic remain as I set them.  Unfortunately each time a sink with the app occurs everything is reset.   This is so far the only temporary solution I found.   It's far from satisfactory but at least it gives me a full day.

I am considering only sinking  once a week, but that is a matter for personal choice.

Let's hope they fix it.
