DIY cracked Versa screen repair?

Forgive me for cross-posting this: it seems to have been hidden in a closed thread:

have a question on fixing a screen myself.

My wife and I both have Versas. I have a screen protector shell on mine, but my wife just can’t stand the shell—it reduces the touch sensitivity of the screen. Well, you guessed it: she has a cracked screen now.

It’s just a small crack at the lower left, then extends as a hairline crack across part of the bottom of the screen. The screen functions just fine so far, but I’m sure at least it’s lost its water resistance.

Realizing we may have to resplace the Versa (and no, we don’t have breakage insurance), I have a couple of ideas, I’d like to hear if any of you have any experience with these:  1) I could put a drop of SuperGlue (ACC) in the crack, but I’m concerned it may cloud the screen or hurt the touch sensitivity, or 2) some silicone glue to seal the cracked area. That would require 24 hours or so to cure.

Any suggestions will be appreciated...! Thanks in advance!

Wow! Thank you on both counts. I’m looking now to find that glue...so far all I’m finding is glue for actual replacement of screens on cell phones.

For those following this exciting saga: after looking over the various products I could find, I used some ACC cement on the cracked area. It seems to be an adequate repair, but since we like to kayak, and I don’t quite trust this to have the old water resistance, I think I may be going ahead and getting my wife a new Versa 2 for Mother’s Day. I guess we may have a spare Versa.
