Damaged battery Versa?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Anyone else have this problem?

About 30 minutes ago i noticed my versa's screen was black and didn't respond to any button presses, while i had checked it shortly before and it was working fine.

I had recharged it to 100% last night.

I've just connected it to my charger, it shows a red battery with 0%, but than it restarts my fitbit and it shows a full battery again.

Problem is as soon as i pull it off the charger it shuts down again, black screen, no response to the buttons, until i reconnect it to the charger etc etc.

I've only had it for a few months, so for it to die already, is pretty disappointing.

Any help would be great. I've contacted customer support but i'm still waiting on the live chat.

Try restarting it a few times. If that fixes it, great.  If it doesnt try a factory reset. If you can get to the settings app scroll down to About. If you cant then use the button method. If these dontnwork then you will have to wait on support. Let us know how you go

Restart your tracker

FACTORY RESET USING BUTTONS
On the watch, hold all three buttons for about twelve seconds. This triggers the 2-button hardware reboot after about eight seconds.
- When the Fitbit logo appears, then disappears, release the bottom right button, then continue holding the left and top right buttons until you feel a strong vibration. This indicates the factory reset was initiated.
- This process may take several seconds, and eventually, the Fitbit logo appears and the device boots and displays go to Fitbit.com/setup.
- If you fail to release the bottom right button in time, or otherwise don't follow the procedure precisely, the Fitbit logo reappears quickly and boots without factory reset.

If the device turns on, please go back to the Fitbit app and setup your device back to your account with these steps. Make sure your watch is plugged into a wall plug or a computer, next to the router and that there are no other trackers or devices with Bluetooth on nearby when setting up.  Please log into your account, go to account on the upper right corner, there look for "setup a device" and tap on it. Follow the instructions on the screen and let the watch charge for 2 hours.

Thanks for the suggestions, tried it, restarting doesn't work as soon as i pull it off the charger.

Did a factory reset while still connected to the charger, but again dead as soon as it's not connected to the charger. Guess i'm out of options.

Still waiting on the customer support live chat for almost an hour now.

Had a chat with support. Tracker couldn't be fixed so they'll send a replacement.

Still don't know why it suddenly died, but let's hope the new tracker won't have this problem after just a few short months.
