Recently I have bought a Fitbit Versa for my father (an 84-year-old who doesn't use digital devices often) to track his sleep. Because I am not living with him, I want to be able to view the synced data remotely from my own phone or through a web browser (with his consent, of course) so that I can be sure he has good sleep.
The web dashboard (fitbit.com) seems to provide most data, but it doesn't show the sleep score and the estimated oxygen variation (EOV) that we are interested in but are only available in the app.
Is it possible for me to use the Fitbit app in my own phone, log in with my father's account and view the data, without affecting the data synchronization between the Versa and my father's phone?
I have tried to do the above, but it seemed that the data synchronization (between the Versa and my father's phone) would stop at some point after I logged in through my phone. After that, I would need to call my father and ask him to run the Fitbit app at his side in order to initiate the synchronization (this is not easy as my father doesn't use his iPhone often).
Another related question: can I put my phone into a "read-only mode" by using the app with my father's account and with the Versa being removed from my phone? can I still see all of his data? and would this also remove the Versa from my father's phone or affect the data synchronization at his side?
Any help would be highly appreciated. Many thanks!
