Dead Versa reaching out to Management

I purchased my Versa on 2/4/19 and it died this past week, not quite two months out of warranty.  I did the tech support chat and tried all the suggestions and it still wouldn't charge.  I was offered a 40% discount on a new Fitbit, but even at discount I would be paying over $100 for a comparable device.  I'm even still making payments on the original through my Dell financing on the original $180 purchase . . . . I asked for a way to contact management because I am so frustrated that my device (which was holding a charge perfectly fine a week ago) has suddenly died, so conveniently after warranty expiration.  I was told that the tech could advance my inquiry via an online help request or that I could call and ask to speak to a supervisor myself in case they might make an exception.  The supervisor told me exactly what the tech support staffer did, that my device was out of warranty and my only recourse is to purchase a new device at discount.  I asked if there was a way to write or email management regarding my concern, and was told that this is the place to bring my concern.

I'm just really bummed that there's nothing I can do about my dead watch, that I spent so much money on it to be dead just a year later.  There is no way to repair it or replace the battery.  If I had known it would only last a year, I would not have invested in it.  The two hours I spent on tech support and customer inquiry calls were polite but clear that no exceptions could or would be made for my 14 month old product and there were no supports that could be offered that didn't cost at least $100.  As I'm stuck at working from home with the kids during Corona, it would've been nice to count steps since lady pants never have pockets for my phone, but I guess I'll have to find a way without Fitbit.

@megameg888 yes it would be nice if Fitbit had a repair service.

If they did, it would cost you at least the same amount to get the unit repaired since it is out of warranty.

Having the discount will get you a new tracker rather than a rebuilt one.

I'm not going to ask how much interest you have paid.
