Device PIN no longer working on wallet tile

Hi I am a new user to the Fitbit community, I have been able to setup my Fitbit Versa (a number of times now) and had it in a state where all the functions were working. However after clicking on the wallet tile it now gives me a message of "Set PIN Code Your Versa already has a PIN. Please enter the 4 digit PIN to verify" when I enter the PIN which i used to setup Fitbit Pay, it gives me an error "Error connecting to Versa" even though the Versa shows it is in sync "a moment ago", also when I active the wallet feature on the Versa to use Fitbit Pay it ask for the PIN and it accepts the PIN and allows payment. Clearly the feature is working on the Versa but not in the Fitbit app. Please let me know how I can now access the wallet feature within the Fitbit app. I have already done a factory reset of the Versa and re-setup which fixed the PIN lock issue but then after I again added my Credit Card the error came back exactly the same, Versa works wallet tile does not.

Do i need to take it back to the shop and swap it for a Galaxy Watch????

@Brett_s You need to restore bluetooth connection with your Versa:

 

  1. Unpair (remove) Versa from your phone's bluetooth settings
  2. Reboot your phone. Do not pair in your phone's bluetooth settings. 

    The trick here is to not pair in phone Bluetooth settings but rather let the Fitbit mobile app do that. 

  3. Reboot your Versa by pressing and holding the left and bottom right buttons until Fitbit logo flashes
  4. Open Fitbit mobile app and sync.
  5. Unlock Versa

Hi, thanks for that, I actually did setup the Versa that way with no luck, in desperation I did a factory reset on the Versa but then it wouldn't turn back on again just a black screen. So I spoke with customer service and they confirmed that the Versa was dead and they are sending me a new one. Thanks again for your offer of help and hopefully the new device works better.

I got into the same problem after resetting my fitbit account password.

Tried unpair, reinstall fitbit, restart the Versa... no luck.
