I was curious about the payment options on my Fitbit Versa 2 and clicked into the payment set up, where I was prompted to set up a pin. I did so, but once into the payment module I decided not to move forward with payment set up. However, now the Pin lock is enabled on my device, even though I don't want/need payment options, and whenever I go into the "Device Lock" settings on my app, it's prompting me to enter my current PIN, and when I do, it says "Try again", like the Pin is wrong. But the same pin DOES work to unlock my physical Fitbit, even though the app won't recognize it to allow me to change my Device Lock settings. What do I need to do to take the lock off my Fitbit? Why won't the app acknowledge my pin that DOES unlock my device?

The solution was to reset my device. Which, is not ideal, but a small price to pay to get that annoying lock requirement off the device, for sure! Thank you.
