I bought a clone for about 20 dollars and I suspect it didn't count properly my walking steps. So I bought a versa thinking fitbit may be better especially I had to pay 5 times more.
Well after using for about two weeks, I think the number is off.
This morning I put the versa on my wrist before I drove to work. 10 minutes later, I saw my steps were 55 LOL, lucky that I didn't perform that crazy dance while the car was moving. Then I walked to my desk from the parking lot...WHOAH 1180 (something). What? Really? Then I saw down just swing my arm and then of course the steps went up.
Can you do something about this? Otherwise the 20 dollars clone watches are pretty much competitive with your watches.

Hi @LGZ, welcome to the Community forums. Your post has been moved from the Feature Suggestion section to the Versa board of the Community to increase the chances of getting a response.

@LGZ Try changing the Wrist Placement Setting in the Fitbit mobile app to Dominant to make your Versa less sensitive. Also, you can give Versa a reboot by pressing and holding the left and bottom right buttons until Fitbit logo flashes. To remove the "ghost" steps from driving you can manually log Driving activity in your Fitbit mobile app (or Dashboard on Fitbit.com) for the time period when you accumulated the steps.

Hi @LGZ, let us know if you find an improvement with the steps @Marrrmaduke mentioned earlier. You can find some extra information about accuracy and sensitivity in this article: How accurate are Fitbit devices?
Regarding the steps while driving, this is a normal behavior for the tracker, but I do recommend that you vote for this idea in the Feature Suggestion board of the Community and add your comments as well, this section is constantly reviewed by the team of developers.
In order to negate the steps, you can log the driving activity as @Marrrmaduke mentioned.
I hope this helps.
