Different step count on watch face and daily stats screen

I just noticed that the step count shown on the watch face is consistently 50-175 steps different from the step count shown if I swipe down and go into the daily stats. I've tried syncing with my phone to see if that fixes things, but the different counts remain. (The step count from the daily stats page is the number that syncs with my phone.) 

I'm curious if this is a glitch related to the watch-face screen or maybe something to do with the Fitbit app pulling steps from my phone's pedometer. (I have Mobile Track turned on, but it has never seemed to work for me.) 

I just got the Versa this week, after a year with the Charge 2, so I'm still learning all its features. Apologies if I'm missing something obvious.

@Kalnel May I ask which watch face are you using. It is usual for the watch faces especially those not made by Fitbit to have a certain delay in refreshing the stats. If you check the watch face again does it get refreshed? Also, do you encounter the same issue for any other watch faces?

@Marrrmaduke I'm using "Simple Digital Clock and Stats," a third-party watch face. The steps on the watch face update as I'm walking -- they seem to change in real-time -- but the number is always a bit smaller than the daily stats. I haven't seen it "jump forward" after an update or sync up with the daily stats page. 

Just now, for instance, I was walking around. Before I started, the watch face showed 6,613 and the daily stats showed 6,701. Now the watch face shows 7092 and daily stats shows 7,215. 

I'll have to see if the difference remains if I go to one of the stock watch faces. Stay tuned!

@Marrrmaduke, you lead me to the issue! The stock clock faces and several of the other third-party ones show the right step count, but even after un-installing and reinstalling, "Simple Digital Clock and Stats" does not. It's too bad, because it's a nice, clean design with big, easy-to-read fonts.

@Kalnel I believe this should be an easy fix. Contact the dev and let them know about the issue. They will update the clock face and you can install it again!😊
