Difficult to end the exercise in Run mode

I've been using Versa 3 for 6 months now. Generally it works quite well but there is a very annoying issue: while in "Run“ mode, very often when I press the End icon there is no response. Sometimes it takes a few presses and sometimes it takes a dozen, or even more. Yesterday I had to completely stop running and tried a good 30 seconds before my press was finally registered. At that moment I had the impulse to take out the watch and smash it to the ground....

Seriously pls make a shortcut to end an exercise (especially Run) quickly instead of raising my wrist, swipe up and struggle to press the End icon while i'm still running and the icon isn't responsive at all! Also, is it possible to make the End icon more responsive?

In fact it already happened a few times and every time it kind of ruined my mood after an otherwise very pleasant jogging. It didn't happen more often because previously I worked out in gym but now because of the stupid C-Virus all gyms are closed...

I'm thinking about getting an Apple Watch if it happens again...

I have had this same problem with my new Versa 3, both at the end and at the beginning of a run.  It often takes multiple taps to start the clock, and then when the watch finally responds there is about a 3-second wait before the circle in the middle of the screen completes itself and the watch starts recording my running time.  I can be 5 to 10 seconds and 10 to 20 yards into a run before the first second ticks off.  When I complete the run, I often have to tap the "pause" icon on the screen 8-10 times before the clock stops, further messing up my running times and distances.  Plus, I don't like having to swipe the screen "up" repeatedly as I approach the end of the run just so I can press "pause."   It should stay swiped "up" for several seconds longer than it does.  As stated above, these problems can ruin a perfectly good run and make one want to smash the Fitbit on the pavement.  Didn't have these problems with my Fitbit Ionic.

@EFWarrior when you see the countdown circle at the beginning of the run you can skip it by tapping it. To end the run use the side button rather than the screen. Press the button to pause (don't use the pause icon) and when paused tap the "end" icon.

I found a workaround: define an exercise shortcut for long press of the side button, e.g. workout. At the end of the run, long press the side button and then only need one more tap to complete the run. Works quite well for me.
