I wish I had read the board posts about the horrible band-changing design before I bought my Versa.
I thought I'd spend a few minutes on my lunch hour learning about my new Versa. Now I have 1/2 the band off and can't get it back on. This is the original black silicone band, not a 3rd party.
I've read what everyone says but at this point I'll have to just put it away and try when I get home from work. Who thought this was a good design? I'm very disappointed.

I hate this versa band. I have spent an hour trying to get the stupid band on and I am now done! This is ridiculous! Why call it a changeable band. It is not changeable. I will NEVER buy another fitbit This sucks!

@Pwspin it's definitely changeable. I change mine several times a week. Takes me all of 30 seconds.

Ok just done it, put the silicone band in boiling water. softens it, then having nearly stabbed myself I used a sharp point knife to lever it he pin in on the NON catch side ie the plain pin side. Hope that helps.

This is such garbage and I want my money back. Why would I want something that takes me an hour or the band to switch back. Completely disappointed.

Spent about 30 minutes attempting to change band. Only half of band on. If fitbit does not fix this, going to switch to Apple. It is 1:30 am must get up at 5 for work so will not be able to wear to work. Aggravating! Videos have not helped.

Just got a Versa 2 and can’t get the band on. What a piece of junk. How did this get past quality control?
will be returning as soon as possible.

My wife saved the day. Her smaller hands were able to get the band on. But still, how could someone let this pass as acceptable?

I did it by putting silicone band in very hot water to softer it. then place the side with the clip in first , then us a thin blade knife to level the other side in...MIND YOUR FINGERS.....all very unnecessary if it was made the correct size in first place!!!!!!!!!!!!

I looked around for a long time to make sure that whatever device I chose would meet my needs, that it would be a help. Started wearing the Fitbit Versa 2 about a week ago. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of taking the band off. I've tried for many hours, over several days, to get it re-attached. No luck. I've looked at videos and can see what is needed, but the bad design makes it next to impossible for some of us to make any head-way, even though we can see and know how to do it. It's a matter of the manipulation and getting it at the exact "hairline" point, the exact slant. Honestly, it feels like the band "grew" (widened) after it came out of the slot. The time may have come to return it, which is not something I want to do. I'm so disappointed. May be too late for me, but, Manufacturer, please redesign it. The difficulty makes it not worth owning one.

Agree. It's too much band for the slot it has to go into.

Please let me know the brand of band. Getting very frustrated at not being able to get the band on.

Renee, I understand. It's called, according to the package, "petal classic band." It's the original band that it came with.

Renee, I'm going to see if Amazon will take it back. That's the only thing left that I know of to do. I tried in every way I could. I hope you can return yours, too.

This is the band I purchased on Amazon. It works wonderfully and similar to the Blaze band : https://www.amazon.com/SUPCASE-Unicorn-Protective-Replacement-Wristband/dp/B07DLN2K88
