I wish I had read the board posts about the horrible band-changing design before I bought my Versa.
I thought I'd spend a few minutes on my lunch hour learning about my new Versa. Now I have 1/2 the band off and can't get it back on. This is the original black silicone band, not a 3rd party.
I've read what everyone says but at this point I'll have to just put it away and try when I get home from work. Who thought this was a good design? I'm very disappointed.

Thank you, Hunter. That was kind of you to give me this info, along with the link. I'll look into it. Thanks again.

Just remember my tip. But silicon bracelet in near boiling water,. Put clip end in first then , holding strap at about 70 degrees to the watch, ease in other side with knife blade, mind your fingers. Merry Christmas.

The little ahem thing will simply not compress far enough to re-install on the Versa2,making it impossible to reinstall the band.

The video didn't help. After removal of the band, both the pin and the band widen a bit so they can't be reinstalled back between the lugs. Tried for more than an hour with various tools. Won't fit. Returning the watch today.

I know the feeling, David606. Good luck and I hope whatever you replace it will, will be a lot better!

I have ruined my fingernails and wasted hours trying to get the band on. Very poor design. I will return it and never buy another for me or as gifts, as I have in the past. You just lost a customer.

I use this band and it works: https://www.amazon.com/SUPCASE-Unicorn-Protective-Replacement-Wristband/dp/B07DLN2K88. I think black is the only color available.

That is the band I am using. Works great. This was the style that Fitbit had used on the Blaze. Too bad they didn't use it on their latest models.

Its really rather shocking to see the date that people started to report this problem... and to then receive a versa2 as a xmas present in 2019 and finding this same problem (and worse). The manufacturing tolerances will be a factor, so for many it will be easier but there will still be a large proportion of people like me struggling with it. And to make matters worse for me, the package contains two straps, a canvas type pre-installed and a synthetic type which is simply too wide to fit the gap!

This is absolutely absurdly that I have to remove my mesh band every time I need to charge. Plus this no easy task.

Especially coming out with a new Versa with the same issue. I too will be going to an apple watch when my current Versa dies if they don't feel the need to listen to customers and update the way the bands attach.
Certainly doesn't feel like Fitbit values their customers or their input!
