Difficulties to sync and to connect the Wi-Fi

I understand this has been discussed in many threads but I just wanted some clarification since I do see conflicting stories.  I have had an LG6 for a couple years and it worked fine with the Ionic the vast majority of the time once some issues and updates were done. Now that it wore out I went to the Versa, not thinking that it would have issues with the G6 since my Ionic worked, but alas, it does not sync at all, bluetooth does not connect, and I can't even get my phone to connect to wi-fi through the app.  I understand phones are different but an LG Android can't be much different than another Android, it is the same operating system, right?  Everything is updated but just tired of turning my phone, tracker, bluetooth, etc on/off/on/off again and again.  This is Fitbit tracker number 5 or 6 for me and I like them better than any others I have tried, that is why I keep going back to them. But seriously, the G6 has been LG flagship phone until recently and you don't have it worked out to sync with yet? I really don't want to go to another tracker manufacturer but if it comes down to buying a new phone verses a new tracker, that is a no-brainer as to the cost of each.

I looked up new phones and none of the newest versions of phones from LG are listed on the compatibility list, why is that?

I guess my final question is, Fitbit, are you ever, with all the complaints I have read, going to put out updated software that would make the LG G6 compatible or any of the other newer LG's?

It's great to see you in the Fitbit Community @Grumps9. Sorry for the delayed response.

I regret to hear that you are having difficulties to sync your Fitbit Versa. Thank you for your feedback about adding more devices to the list of compatibile devices and thank you for letting us know that you like Fitbit better than any other devices you've tried. We appreciate the time you've spent while trying different troubleshooting steps before contacting us.

As you mentioned, the LG G6 is not part of the list of supported mobile devices but I can assure that our team is constantly adding new cellphones. At the moment, there is no information about which devices will be added but we hope to have news soon. I would like to mention, if a phone is not listed as compatible that doesn't mean that it won't sync. Many users have been able to sync and receive notifications from not compatible devices.

The compatibility depends on the phones tested by our engineering team and the permissions when the app is in use.
