Discrepancies between Versa and Blaze (calories burned)

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

So I replaced my Fitbit Blaze and got a Versa.
So far still getting adjusted but a couple things I've noticed is the differences in how active minutes and calories burned are calculated.
With my Blaze, after a typical work day I would burn around 2,400 calories for the day (my BMR is around 1,200 according to fitbit and manual calculation)
Now with my Versa, my average calories burned after a typical workday is at 1,550 calories which is quite a drastic difference from the Blaze calculation of 2,400 calories.
Also, the number of active minutes for my Blaze was around 150-180 per day, now with my Versa it is barely registering anything so I'm wondering which is correct and why such a huge discrepancy.
I checked all my settings but I basically didn't do anything to them besides unpairing my Blaze and pairing my Versa.
Any insight would be appreciated, and thanks in advance

Hello @Channyboy326 I hope you're doing well, it's nice to see you around the Fitbit Community.

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and for sharing your experience with us. At this moment, I would like to ask you to restart your Versa by pressing and holding the Back and Select buttons (left and bottom right) until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen. Then, monitor it for the next day and check if your active minutes and calories burned start counting correctly. If not, please sync your Versa at the end of the day and take a screenshot of what you're able to see in the Dashboard.

Reply to us with it, this will be very helpful for us to check this further.

Thanks for your patience and understanding, we'll be waiting to hear from you.

Hello @Channyboy326 I hope you're doing well, thanks for taking the time to reply.

I appreciate you have come back to us and send us a screenshot. At this moment, I would like to suggest you to go to the Settings app in your Versa and turn off Heart Rate. Then, restart the Versa by pressing and holding the Back and Select buttons (left and bottom right) until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen. and turn Heart Rate on again.

Additionally, please keep in mind that your Versa will count active minutes when your activities are at or above 3 MET's. MET's are calculated depending on the intensity of your exercises. To know more about active minutes, please check the following article: What are active minutes?

Thanks for your patience and understanding, have a great day.

My problem is actually opposite in that my Blaze was counting more burned calories and active minutes.

But no I still haven't been able to solve the issue, sorry
