Distance recorded in the Fitbit app is inaccurate

hey guys, not sure if any of you had this problem but have you noticed (unless you don't have this issue) that if you set your daily distance to whatever your goal is, say 5 miles/day, not sure what the fitbit app's units are set as but i find myself having to walk about 7.5 miles or something like that to reach my distance traveled, although i set it at 5. I also found my distance auto set at 3 miles and walking approximately 4.75 miles would've been what it took to reach my distance goal daily..... how can i (or we if it happens to anyone else) fix this? It happened when i had the versa and now upgrading to the versa 2, it  still has the same problem so i figured, its a problem with the app, not the actual device.

I'm confused @Phillinhot

  • Are you saying that you have to walk 7.5 miles for the tracker shows 5 miles? This would be inaccurate miles.
  • Are you saying that with the distance set to 5 miles, you have to walk 7.5 miles before the watch congratulates you? This would be a problem with settings.
  • Or are are you looking at the little circle, I assume on the android app. This would be a known issue that has nothing to do with accuracy of distance. There is a thread on the android board on this subject.
