Do I need a smartphone to use the Versa?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I am interested in buying the Versa but I only have a track phone. So can I use the Versa without a smartphone? I have a 5th gen apple iPod, will that work? Can I use a computer?

Yes.  You can even set it up without one.  And it sinks to a smartphone for your data throughout the day

Confused. First you say that you don't need a smartphone. Then you say it syncs to a smartphone for your data. I'm asking specifically about the fitbit Versa smartwatch. My dad wants one but doesn't have smartphone of any kind.

@TKirch,

Welcome to the community!

You'll need to sync the Versa with another device, but that need not be a smartphone.  The Versa will happily sync with a Windows 10 computer (once you install the Fitbit App).

Naturally, there are some features which you won't be able to use (such as call/text notification), but you can certainly use it as an activity tracker.

I hope this helps.
