You don't need to register. Fitbit has a record of when you started using the fitbit from the setup process. It's worth keeping the receipt though just in case.

Don't forget that in the UK the warranty runs for 2 years rather than the standard 1 year

It's great to see you here @BIGHOTMAMA68 and @SteveH thanks for stopping by.

As our friend mentioned, there isn't any need to register for warranty. If you purchased the Fitbit from us, I recommend taking a look at our warranty policy.

Hi, what about if i purchase my fitbit via my mobile provider EE? Do i still have the right to the 2 year warranty from fitbit???

Best Answer

If you have an issue then your first action should be to go to the vendor, EE in your case. If they are prepared to exchange it then that will be the quickest and easiest solution. If that doesn't work out the fitbit's warranty still applies and you are covered for 2 years (in Europe, 1 year elsewhere). There are conditions though, such as the vendor being on the approved retailer list (I checked and EE is on the list) so it's worth checking the terms.

Amazon is an approved retailer so you will have warranty. There's no need to register for it - fitbit will be able to see when you set up your fitbit.

Are you sure? The Fitbit UK store is still showing a 2 year warranty. e.g. https://www.fitbit.com/global/uk/products/smartwatches/sense?sku=512SRSG

I tried to make a claim under warranty as my Fitbit was purchased direct from Fitbit less than 2 years ago but was shocked to be advised that it was out of warranty after 1 year as we live outside the EEA “ LIMITED PRODUCT WARRANTY FOR NEW PRODUCTS
Fitbit warrants to the original purchaser that your Fitbit-branded device and accessories that are new (the "New Product(s)") shall be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase, except that if you reside in the European Economic Area (EEA) and you purchased your Fitbit product in the EEA, the warranty period is two (2) years from the date of purchase (the "New Product Warranty Period").
