When I access setup from watch main screen indicates have 7 stats to easily track with Fitbit Today.   The options below however are Core Stats, Hourly Stats, and Heart Rate.  When I purchased watch I specially asked if I could see sleep stats on watch.

I believe you have to specifically program the watch for this.  If you go to the "Today" app (swipe up from the clock face), you should see an option called "Settings".  Tap that and then you should be able to select "Sleep" along with 6 other stats of your choice.  These can also be removed anytime.

I have not previously responded due to some priority issues with my job.
When I swipe up on clock face the only options after access the options
Core Stats, Hourly Steps, and Heart Rate. Sleep Time results are
reflected on the watch several hours after I have awaken but the hours are
only a fraction of what they should be and don't correspond to what is
shown on the phone app. The phone app sleep time appears to be fairly
realistic.

No notification are displayed as well. The only visible data on the is
message "Nothing new here you're all caught up".
