I did that earlier, and the pull-down menu mentions a Samsung J, but not J7 and just wanted to be sure.

No - does not work with J7.  Had to do a very tedious download to phone and then to computer, and now Versa doesn't synch with computer despite working fine for 6 months.

Just updating post from yesterday - got a great customer assistance person on phone so Versa now syncing well with computer again, just not with J7.
